Who are We

NeoFerric Technologies comprises a group of mining industry professionals with considerable experience in the fields of Extractive Metallurgy, Mining Exploration, and Project Development.  Our background experience is varied, from involvement with junior mining companies, with major  mining companies such as Noranda/Falconbridge and in the field engineering/construction with companies such as Hatch and Amec.  The group has been in existence for three years.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to provide expertise in the field of extractive metallurgy, especially in developing cost-effective and environmentally-friendly solutions for difficult ore deposits, both sulphides and oxides including laterites, and for metallurgical processing intermediates that are generally deemed to be waste material.  We are constantly looking for new opportunities, whether it be new or existing mines, or new or existing operations. We particularly like the challenge of “difficult-to-treat” ores, concentrates and intermediates.

Our Technologies

Our processes involve leaching in both chloride and sulphate media, hydrochloric acid regeneration, hematite and magnetite precipitation to
form value-added iron materials as opposed to the more normal manner
of hydroxide sludge disposal, ion exchange purification and metal recovery processes, novel electrowinning techniques for copper, nickel, cobalt and cadmium. We have also worked in nitrate media.

Our Clients

In our brief existence, we have worked for a number of different clients in different parts of the world.  We are happy to provide a reference list on request.

In addition, we have developed a number of proprietary in-house processes for base metal sulphide ores, nickel laterites, copper oxide ores and zinc plant intermediates.  We have filed two full (PCT) patent applications on our own technology.
